What is a Sandwich Panel?
Prefabricated insulation panels or Sandwich Panels are walls with steel sheets on both sides, with various types of insulation or foam in between. The steel sheets are assembled together by adding galvanized steel sheets, or PPGI for short, which is safe for the food and pharmaceutical industries at the Food Grade level. Sandwich panels have the properties of heat insulation, cold storage, fire protection, clean and safe, do not retain dust, bacteria or fungi and germs, including foreign objects, and have received international GMP and HACCP standards. Therefore, they are suitable for use in factories producing food, beverages, medicines, or industries that require standard cleanliness and temperature control.
How many types of sandwich panel insulation are there?
Now that we know what a sandwich panel is, let's take a look at the insulation inside the Sandwich Panel. The insulation inside the Sandwich Panel can be classified or divided into 2 types according to its properties:
1) Fire retardant but not fire retardant
2) Non-flammable
1. Sandwich Panel type is flammable but does not spread fire.
1.1 White foam or PS Foam
Now that we know what Sandwich Panel is, let’s take a look at how it meets various usage needs. It can be used for various types of work as follows:
Sandwich panel is a polystyrene insulation sheet made from fire-retardant PS, EPS foam (F-Grade) which has 16 advantages and properties as follows:
1. It has a low insulation value (k-Value) and provides good heat insulation.
2. It is a non-flammable foam with a flash point (Flash Point is 345°C – 360°C). It can extinguish fire by itself and the flame does not spread.
3. Density 0.00 – 1.25 pounds, strong, good compressive strength, can support weight of more than 2,000 kilograms.
4. It is a heat insulator with a closed cell material structure that can insulate heat on its own.
5. It is a lightweight material that is convenient for installation and transportation.
6. Excellent shock protection
7. Maintains cold temperature well, suitable for cold room work.
8. Moisture protection
9. Can prevent the passage of sound
10. It is a type of foam insulation that is flammable but not flammable. It has the lowest flash point. When the foam is heated, it will evaporate into vapor.
11. Helps save energy
12. Long service life
13. Free from CFCs or Chlorofluorocarbon which are harmful to the environment. Environmentally friendly.
14. Supports GMP and HACCP quality systems
15. It has more insulating properties than other materials.
16. Suitable for clean room construction as it does not allow bacteria to accumulate.
1.2 Yellow Foam or PU Foam
1. It is a good insulator for heat protection, but it is not fireproof. When a fire occurs, a large amount of smoke will be produced.
2. Consisting of 95% fine foam particles, it is durable and does not collapse.
3. Low HCN (hydrogen cyanide) gas
4. It is a non-flammable foam.
5. Long service life, strong and durable
6. It is a heat insulator, has low heat conductivity and water absorption, prevents water leakage, is soundproof and is vibration proof.
7. Contains a small amount of solvents, such as concentrated nitric acid or sulfuric acid, which are important for waterproofing and chemical resistance.
8. No CFCs and environmentally friendly.
2. Non-flammable type
2. 1 Fireproof yellow foam or PIR Foam
PIR (Polyisocyanurate Foam) Insulation Polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation sheets have a structure of isocyanurate rings that are resistant to combustion. They can withstand heat up to 400°C and when ignited, PIR will develop a charred surface to help prevent oxygen gas from coming into contact with the foam inside, which prevents the fire from spreading. In addition, PIR has 14 properties:
1. Best heat resistance up to 400°C
2. Non-flammable
3. Can withstand horizontal pressure of 216-295 kpa and vertical pressure of 123-135 kpa.
4. Has the best thermal insulation value (low thermal conductivity)
5. Strong and lightweight
6. Poor vapor or permeability
7. It is a heat insulator, sound insulator, and sound absorber.
8. Effective in absorbing moisture or low water absorption
9. Helps maintain the best temperature
10. Reduce air pollution and smoke inhalation due to lack of oxygen.
11. When PIR insulation is burned, very little smoke is produced.
12. More efficient than PIR insulation in the market.
13. It has a low smoke generation rate, which helps reduce oxygen deficiency pollution.
14. Lightweight, suitable for moving and using in all industries.
2.2 Asbestos or Rockwool
The outstanding feature of rock wool insulation is that it is a raw material made from the world's most abundant natural resource. Pumice is not only a renewable material but is also a sustainable material. The excellent fire protection properties of rock wool insulation can help keep many lives safe, including another unique feature, which is the heat protection property that can...

Adjust the temperature inside buildings and houses to be suitable for living. Our products can be installed in both commercial buildings.
It is not harmful to health. When inhaled, the body can expel it on its own.
All types of industrial projects, whether large-scale projects, including Marina Bay Sands, Petronas Twin Towers, Maha Nakhon Building, are considered part of the family to the community, hospitals to schools and to many countries around the world.

How does a sandwich panel meet your needs ?
Sandwich panel External Wall
Sandwich panel insulation core is polyurethane (PU) insulation sheet. It is a polyurethane production that uses a swelling agent (Bowing Agent) to react between polyol and diisocyanate, which expands 20-100 times, resulting in a material with a closed cell structure that is effective in insulating heat up Sandwich Panel to 230°C – 250°C.
